Michele Traver worked for Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries directly out of undergraduate school. Then she came to the NEFSC as a biological science technician in our Population Dynamics (PopDy) Branch, for a total of 17 years. She has worked on a variety of stocks in PopDy, but is currently the lead analyst for offshore hake and red hake. Michele is actively involved in the Center's ad hoc Academic Programs Committee. Outside of work, she is a single mom of 4 and a personal/group trainer. Michele loves to bake, watch the Red Sox play, and relax on the beach with what little down time she has.
