THIS STRATA AND THEN WOULD LIKE TO CLEAN UP THE WESTERN HALF OF STRATA 28 STILL NO STATION WITH ENOUGH CATCH FOR
DEPLETION SITE, BUT AM QUITE OPTOMISTIC THAT WE WILL GET AT LEAST ONE IN, IN THIS STRATA, (37). BOTH WATCHES ARE WORKING LIKE A SWISS TIMEPIECE AND I COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE FROM THEM. THE WATCH CHIEFS AS WELL AS THE OBSERVERS HAVE SEEMED TO HAVE MASTERED FSCS, I HAD A FEELING IT WOULD ONLY TAKE A COUPLE FEW WATCHES FOR THE LEAST EXP-
ERIENCED WATCH TO GET THE HANG OF IT, AND TO MY EXPECTATION THEY DID.  IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THANG. HOPEFULLY THE WEATHER WILL CONTINUE TO COOPERATE, AT THIS POINT WE HAVE ONLY LOST APPROX 6 HOURS DUE TO WEATHER ISSUES. WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.

OUR INTENT/ CRUISE TRACK IS CURRENTLY TO COMPLETE THE NEXT STATION @STRATA 40 TOW 3 AND THEN CUT EAST ON A TRACK TAKING US OUT TO THE EEZ IN JORDANS BASIN, TURN BACK AND HEAD BACK PICKING UP AS MANY STATIONS AS POSSIBLE ON OUR RETURN. STATIONS ARE BEGINNING TO PICK UP NOW AS BOTH WATCHES ARE "IN THEIR GROOVE".  WEATHER MAY BECOME A CONSIDER- ATION,  BUT ONE NEVER KNOWS. MY GOAL IS TO ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR THE NEXT LEG TO HAVE TO GO VERY FAR NORTH OF GEORGES.  LOBSTER GEAR IS STILL A CONTINUING PROBLEM NEAR INSHORE STATIONS.

MESSAGE:ANNE, WE ARE CURRENTLY ON STATION NUMBER 90. WE WOULD BE FURTHER ALONG IF NOT FOR THE COMM BOX FIASCO.  ALSO WE HAD TO STOP FOR APPROX 4 HOURS
BECAUSE THE COM BOX BATTERY WAS SO LOW WITH REGARDS TO THE COM BOX. I HAVE FOUND IT IS BEST TO TURN OF THE BOX
DURING CHARGING AND BETWEEN STEAMS.  THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT DURING THE DAY WHEN IT IS SUNNY OR WARM.  IT
SEEMS THAT WHEN IT GETS HOT INSIDE, WE LOSE COMMUNI- CATION TO THE FISH BOARD.  WHEN THIS OCCURS IF YOU LET IT COOL THE FISH BOARD THEN CAN AGAIN COMMUNICATE. AT THIS POINT ALL OUR STATIONS ARE FAIRLY CLOSE TOGETHER SO I WOULD EXPECT THAT WE CAN COMPLETE 30 STATIONS ON THIS LEG.  WE'LL BE IN FRIDAY MORN.  ALSO, BECAUSE I HAVE TO
BRING BACK THE LIMNOTERRA BOARDS AS WELL AS THE COMM BOX, TO SEND BACK , WE WILL PROBABLY NEED THE EXCURSION, OR AT THE VERY LEAST A VAN WITH THE VERY BACK SEAT OUT.

AMAZEMENT, IT WORKS FINE AGAIN, BUT TO BE TRUTHFUL I WAS QUITE WORRIED THAT IT WAS COOKED BASED ON THE AMOUNT OF
SMOKE, YES SMOKE, THAT EMITTED FROM IT BY THE WAY, BURNING WIRE COATING IS NOT VERY PLEASANT SMELLING. IN ANY EVENT, ALL SEEMS WELL NOW, WEATHER IS GOOD AND THE CATCHES SEEM GOOD.
