Woods Hole Science Aquarium

Mullen-Hall School

A group of kindergarten students from Falmouth's Mullen Hall school visited the aquarium cutting room to learn about different kinds of fish. They also saw a seal feeding and viewed a slide show about counting fish in the conference room, using 3-D glasses for some of the HabCam bottom images.

Upper Cape Regional Technical School

Eleven high school students from the Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical High School in Bourne, MA got a chance to see behind the scenes at our Woods Hole Science Aquarium during morning visits March 6-9. The students, all juniors in the Environmental Science and Technology Program, learned about animal husbandry and general aquarium operations, prepared fish food and observed the harbor seal feedings, helped dissect a monkfish, learned about protected marine species, and visited the MBL's Marine Resource Center. They also had an opportunity to learn about the NOAA Corps and resource management at NOAA Fisheries. Juniors in the UCT program visit our Aquarium each winter to learn about marine and environmental science opportunities in Woods Hole and explore career options.
