2011 Sustainability Science Award Honors NEFSC Scientist

NEFSC Scientist Mike Fogarty was among the recipients of the 2011 Sustainability Science Award from the Ecological Society of America as an author of the paper “Rebuilding Global Fisheries,” published July 31, 2009 in Science.   The ESA award is presented “to the authors of a scholarly work that makes the greatest contribution to the emerging science of ecosystem and regional sustainability through the integration of ecological and social sciences. “  Fogarty, head of the Center’s Ecosystems Assessment Program, was a co-author of the “Rebuilding Global Fisheries” paper.
