SPORTFISHING BY STATE AND MODE
This appendix presents statistical summary tables of the demographic
and economic survey data by state and mode. Two tables are provided for each
state: (1) Recreational Anglers Demographics and (2) Preferences for
Marine Recreational Fishing and Fishing Regulation Methods. Information on
anglers demographics include: age, gender, years fished, household
income, boat ownership, education level, expenditures, trip length, and
ethnicity. Information on preferences include: recreational anglers
stated preferences for fishing site characteristics, rankings of fishing
compared to other outdoor activities, ratings of reasons for marine fishing,
and ratings of fishing regulation methods.
