From the past...
About
- The library was established in 1966 by John G. Casey, Director of the US Fish and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Sport Fisheries and Wildlife, Narragansett, RI. The new building contained both a reading and conference room.
In 1970, the Narragansett Laboratory became part of the National Marine Fisheries Service, and later, part of the Northeast Fisheries Science Center.Collections
- Major research topics include large marine ecosystems, ocean productivity, and sharks.
The laboratory staff share access and borrowing privileges with two libraries:
Pell Marine Science Library and National Sea Grant Library
Materials are only loaned to staff and other libraries.Hours
