Thirteen Center employees landed 2006 DOC Bronze Medals, and three brought home NOAA Distinguished Career awards. From the 10-person team credited with reviewing and revising essential fish habitat documents for more than 30 species to budget planning, to disaster relief, NEFSC staffers were recognized for high achievement in a range of tasks.
The Ffiles will be profiling award winners over the next few weeks, beginning today with OMI Chief John (Jack) Moakley who was recognized for his service on a national team that developed an electronic system for planning, budgeting, and tracking projects.
