Seven sea-going biologists gathered on the dock in Woods
Hole on April 21, 2006, the morning John Sibunka returned from his last
NEFSC survey cruise. Sibunka (right) is retiring this year after serving
NOAA Fisheries for 39 years.
Care to guess the total number of years the seven biologists have logged
with the Northeast Fisheries Science Center? A NOAA mug or cap goes to
the first Ffiles reader with the correct answer, or the closest
answer submitted by May 17. All answers should be based on memory,
logic, and intuition -- no fair submitting an answer if you have access
to personnel records! Email your response to George
Liles.
The rest of the veteran crew is (front row, from left) Linda Despres
(Woods Hole), Betsy Broughton (Woods Hole), Jerry Prezioso (Narragansett);
(back row) Chuck Byrne (Woods Hole), John Nicolas (Woods Hole), Carolyn
Griswold (Narragansett), John Sibunka (Sandy Hook). NOAA/NEFSC photo
