In February 2007, the team lost the services of the founding member of the Advanced Sampling Technologies Research Group, Mr. William Michaels. Bill decided to hang up his foul weather gear and has moved on to bigger and better things at headquarters. His expertise and vast knowledge of acoustic survey operations and underwater video procedures will be greatly missed. His ability to pull in money for large projects will definitely be missed. Good Luck Bill!

In January 2008, the team lost the services of their expert programming guru, Mr. Robert Gamble. Robert was instrumental in developing software for viewing the 3D representations of the Herring swim bladder. Robert has decided to further his career by working full time for the Ecosystems Assessment Group at the Northeast Fisheries Science Center. Good Luck Robert!
