NEFSC Advanced Sampling Technologies Research Staff
The NEFSC Advanced Sampling Technologies Research team
consists of two full-time Research Fishery Biologists (Michael Jech and
William Michaels) who conduct the fisheries acoustic operations and research,
one Research Fishery Biologist (William Overholtz) who devotes about half of
his time to incorporating the acoustic estimates into fisheries assessments,
and one computer programmer (Robert Gamble) who designs cutting edge acoustic
visualization software. In February 2005, the Research team hired one Electronics Engineer (Joseph Godlewski)
to assist in developing and maintaining advanced sampling technologies for NEFSC.
