2007 Interns

In 2007 the region hosted:

Three students through Oak Ridge Associated Universities, including one student from Maryland, another from Mississippi and one from Southern California.
One student from Elizabeth City State University via the Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) and an MOU with the university and five students were hired through a partner program to SCEP known as the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP).

For the third year, our summer intern coordinators worked with the American Association for the Advancement of Science's (AAAS) Entry Point! program to host one intern. Entry Point! is a program within AAAS offering outstanding internship opportunities for students with disabilities in science, engineering, mathematics, computer science, and some fields of business.
Two students through NOAA's own Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program; one long-term student and one summer intern.
One co-op student through an MOU with Northeastern University in Boston.
Two long-term, post graduate interns through REMSA and ERT.
